Wasn't sure where to post this, so my apologies if it's misplaced, but I wanted to provide some info on this game for anyone who hasn't played it yet.

I'll preface this by saying that I am NOT a fan of EA. I'm therefore very judicious about how I choose to support them (i.e. give them money). After reading and watching a lot of positive reviews, I decided to give this game a try. I did not regret that decision.

Bottom line: It was VERY good. It's the first time since KOTOR that I felt like a game studio has successfully recaptured the essence of Star Wars in a video game. It had some great acting, a compelling story, and some epic (cut) scenes and battles. There were very few bugs (I think I only encountered two the entire game, and they were graphical in nature toward the end of the game). The combat flowed well, and I really enjoyed some of the platforming challenges and puzzles. The entire game was designed in collaboration with LucasArts (Disney), so it doesn't retcon anything or conflict with any canon and offers a great introspective look at the aftermath of the Jedi purge following episode VI.

In summary, I highly recommend this game to anyone who loved KOTOR and is interested in experiencing a more modern and improved version of that. And even for a lover of the Empire such as myself, the Jedi really shined in this one.

Thank you, Sindee! That sounds good. Not sure who you typically RP with (Imps, Pubs, or both), but the most neutral and socially conducive SH would be the night club on NS. Plenty of room with just the right amount of NPCs to make it seem active, interactive decorations for that added immersion, and of course, it's faction neutral.

(I'll apologize in advance that the Ambient Music deco isn't working properly. It's a known bug that's been reported to Bioware, but considering that the Massive Artillery Turret has been missing its barrels for almost 5 years now, I'm not hopeful that they will fix it.)

All except the Nar Shaddaa SH were added to that directory already, though I never got around to uploading pictures of any of them. There has been some changes to each, as new decorations were released and better decorating ideas occurred to me. I also included some backstory for some of them, as applicable.

Greetings, all.

I recently returned to the game from a one-year military deployment (in Africa), and I've been working on updating my Strongholds. I feel at this point that they are completed, and as a supporter of this community, I wanted to offer them as potential venues for RP. Here's what I have available:

Coruscant (Jedi themed)
DK (Sith themed)
Yavin 4 (Imperial/Mandalorian military themed)
Manaan (Imperial agent safehouse themed)
Nar Shaddaa (night club themed)

All humility aside, they are probably some of the best decorated SHs on the Satele Shan server (no expense was spared), and it would seem like a waste if other players couldn't enjoy them. So I'm therefore offering silver keys to anyone who would like an immersive, relatively private venue for RP. A silver key will allow you to visit the SH when I'm offline, and it will enable you to invite other players to the SH for any RP events you have in mind.

If you'd like more details on any of them, feel free to ask. And if you're interested, please send me an in-game mail to Mourne (Imp) letting me know which ones you'd like keys to, and I'll be happy to oblige you. I hope in some small way this gesture allows me to give back a little to this community.

Nice to see more of this.  Can non-guild members join raid nights?

Currently, we're not planning on including non-guild members. It appears that we may actually have more people interested in Ops than we have room for, so the plan to run 8-man may need to become 16-man. If the latter happens and we're short, it will be my PvE Officer's discretion whether or not to solicit from outside the guild at that time.

Nic, have you noticed that the rank insignia for Imperial military in this game is incorrect? It's supposed to be horizontal, not vertical, and on the left chest, not the right.

We've already got quite a few old members back after the server merges, and we've started doing regular WZs again. You'll see me in there (as I have time) on my Marauder, Mourne.

And to provide a quick update, our recruiting drive is meeting with some good success. We've got quite a few new applicants that we're vetting, and I've reformed our officer corps. To summarize what's posted there and to reiterate what's posted here, we are NOT requiring new candidates to submit an application on our website as we used to do. All that's required to apply is to be level 70 on the toon you're applying with, 21 years of age or older, TS installed with a working mic, and a short 10-15 interview with either myself or one of my Admin officers (Iatric or Morphling) if I'm not available. If you're interested and are not able to catch myself or an Admin officer online, please send me an in-game mail (or a PM here) so that I can at least put you on our radar. It's the holidays, obviously, so activity may be spotty for the next few weeks.

For the Imperial side of the plotting, er, event, here is the intel that Volarris would ICly share with those that were present at the meeting with the Shadren Hegemony and its constituents:

- SI cannot find specific information on where Vedriat is being held, but they are able to provide information on Iridonia's major prison facilities. Of these, there is one in the capitol, one in the middle of Iridonia's acid seas, one for each of the Zabrak colony worlds (some of which are notably barren otherwise), and several other military prisons in the planet's desert or polar regions. There is little to suggest Vedriat was brought off-world. In fact, there's almost no notable intelligence on her movements beyond that she is being held. Chances are, it's one of the facilities on the planet itself.

- Information on Iridonia's space defenses--ships, stations, etc.--show that they are very sophisticated but took heavy hits during the Eternal Empire's invasion. Response time may therefore be slow.

- SI also has information on a possible spy network for Iridonia called the Ru'Serat. They do not answer to individual clans, and the prevalence of Zabrak through the galaxy--including Sith space--makes them a potential concern for the Sith, but given that they answer to Iridonia, and not to the Republic government itself, has made SI overlook them as mostly irrelevant. Agents are, however, noted for their intense loyalty to their planet and the usual Zabrak resistance to pain and toxins. Interrogating one is recommended only for experienced agents. As for movements of the Ru'Serat, SI has no recent information.

This is the extent of the additional intelligence that Volarris was able to provide from SI. However, he does have the details of the escape plan worked out and will be sharing that at the next RP session. Obviously, there is still a lot of work to do and intel to gather before a viable plan can be put into action. Hopefully, the other interested Imperial parties can help fill in the rather large blanks on which prison she's being held at, and other pertinent details necessary for our planning.
